Question: What additional storage space can I expect to receive by installing organizers?
Answer: Since each design is customized to your individual needs, the overall increase in storage space would depend on that design. However, to give you a typical example: Let’s say that you currently have a 6 ft. wall closet with one shelf and a rod to hang clothes. That, of course, would give you 6 ft. of shelving and 6 ft. of hanging space.

If we designed this closet with a 2 ft. double hang section, a 2 ft. pedestal unit with 4 drawers, and a 2 ft. long hang section your overall increase in storage capacity is dramatic. You would still have 6 ft. of hanging space, but you would now have 20 ft. of shelving and a built-in 4-drawer dresser.

Another design, if you required more hanging space, is to have a 2 ft. double hang section, a 2 ft. shelf – low hang section, and a 2 ft. long hang section. With this design you would still have 20 ft. of shelving, but you would have 8 ft. of hanging space.

Question: How durable is this product?
Answer: We use top of the line engineered furniture board. It is ¾ inch thick and has, what is called in the industry, a “door grade” melamine finish. Most products that you see at the lumber and hardware stores use a 5/8-inch “shelf grade” melamine. The board itself is thinner and usually sags under the weight of items stored on the shelf. The shelf grade melamine is also thinner and the white melamine finishes usually have a brownish or darker appearance because the melamine is so thin you can see the wood through it. These factors lead to a very unsightly product within a very short period of time!

Our product – since it is constructed of ¾ inch board and has a very thick durable melamine – lasts for many years of reliable service. The shelving does not sag even under reasonably heavy loads. Previous customers, even after 15 years, are still very happy with the durability and quality of their organizer shelving. Since we manufacture our own product, using highly advanced computerized machines, our shelving is precision cut and manufactured with the highest degree of quality. Give use a call, you will be glad you did!

Question: What type of closet system does Excel Organizers sell?
Answer: Excel Organizers specializes in customized melamine closet systems. A melamine panel is made up of a Melamine Resin impregnated color layer that is Thermally Fused to an Industrial Grade Chip Core base. Because the Melamine Impregnated Color layer is applied using both heat and pressure there is an actual chemical reaction between the materials so that they will not delaminate. This Melamine Resin and color layer buildup is the same type of material found in Mica type products and the popular flooring material called Pergo, which is also on an Industrial Chip Core base.
